Chris Schroeder
, Vice President & Insurance. Chris handles the insurance and other projects for the SCA. Chris is the son of former board President Lee Schroeder. Chris was appointed to the board in 2009 and has served for 11 years. Chris lives at 2705 Kinney Dr. with his wife of 29 years Sonia, a retired Mexicana stewardess, and their 24-year-old son Ezra, a Berkeley graduate currently pursuing an MA in Psychology. Chris's oldest son Traber lives in Portland Oregon and is pursuing a career as a Senior Technician in the high-tech industry. Chris works for the City of Milpitas and is a Certified Professional Purchasing Agent. He has lived in the Saranap for 49 years, and as such has seen and participated in much change. Chris has extensively remodeled two homes in the Saranap, his parents and his own, and was the first home owner to install a fully permitted modular ADU in the neighborhood, in his parents’ backyard at 1135 Juanita Dr. in 1992. In 2007 he purchased Jim Allan’s old home at 2705 Kinney Dr. on the corner of Kinney and Juanita. Chris has had the building bug ever since he spent the summer of his 13th year helping his uncle build a lake home in Harriman Springs Oregon. Over the years Chris has dabbled in construction both as a well qualified; owner builder and professionally working for a variety of different general contractors. Building is a personal passion for Chris. After buying the Alan house Chris and Sonia spent the next seven years totally gutting the home down to the frame and remodeled the entire property by themselves. He is currently working on a remodel to the main house adding a master bedroom bath suite with walk in closets, and an additional bay on the garage for a workshop. Chris is also an avid model railroader and scuba diver in his spare time.

Application Review and Secretary:   Lisa Marshall grew up in Nebraska on a farm in the middle of the state.  Lisa studied architecture and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Architectural Science from the University of Nebraska.  Lisa moved to Colorado to pursue her career in Architecture and play volleyball, while she was working on a two year assignment in California, Lisa met her husband (Scott).  Who knew a simple roller blading date would lead her to put roots in  California.  Lisa and Scott bought a home together in Saranap the same year they were married in 2007, and we now have two beautiful children, Hunter age 11 and Tucker age 9.  Lisa has her own Green Building Consulting Firm, Ecological Building Strategies, and consults with large silicon valley tech firms and high rise residential communities to help achieve third party certifications, such as US Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Build it Green's GreenPoint Rated certifications.  Lisa has been passionate about sustainability and reducing human impact on our built environment for her entire career and is lucky enough to be able to share her knowledge with project teams and her local community alike.  She looks forward to improving the Saranap community with a shared vision of a circular economy and a healthy, beautiful future for all our children.
